About

The event series Webilea offers a platform for web developers, users, IT entrepreneurs, researchers and other web pioneers in the area of Basel to exchange experiences and find synergies. Webilea is an informal and non-commercial meetup for everyone who lives or works in the area of Basel and wants to shape the future of the internet. The event series will be held in English and German (see agenda below).

Idea

The three computer science alumnis Nicolas Ruflin, Dominic Lüchinger and André Graf want to offer IT entrepreneurs and other web enthusiasts in Basel a platform to encourage the exchange of experiences and ideas between these different groups.

Content

Besides networking, there will be enough time for technological presentations as well as discussions on start-up ideas and other related subjects. Webilea allows web enthusiasts and other likeminded people to exchange experiences and swap ideas.

Proven idea

Similar events with great success already exist in Zurich (Web Monday, Webtuesday) whereas in the area of Basel nothing comparable exists so far. The event series "Webilea" is supposed to change that. Webilea is an addition to smaller and larger already existing Meetups.

Future of Webilea

Webilea events are planned to take place 6-12 times a year. The following list shows some ideas on possible subjects for the next Webilea events. If you have more ideas or suggestions, please post them here.
