Videos

Smashing Magazine recorded both talks on video and put them online! Thank you guys!

Speakers

The first speaker will be Denise R. Jacobs from Florida. Denise is a creativity evangelist, web design trainer and author of The CSS Detective Guide as well as co-author of InterAct with Web Standards: A Holistic Approach to Web Design. Denise is going to run a presentation on "The Art of Disciplined Creativity" for us.

The second speaker is Francis Chouquet who already had an amazing presenation about Typography at one of the earlier Webilea events. He will examine the current positioning of web designers and developers to be able to answer some of the pressing questions about the future of web design: CSS3 or Photoshop?

To subscribe to the event, you have to add yourself to the meetup list. The lazy ones can also leave a comment below as always.

Sponsors

As always, such an event is not possible without sponsors, since everyone wants to drink at least one free beer :-) A big thank you goes to Magnolia which organizes and sponsors the location. I-net Basel will be sponsoring drinks and snacks.

PS: As a small inofficial teaser for upcoming Webilea events: Magnolia has an amazing balcony. Hopefully we can use this balcony during the summer for a Webilea Grill event ;-)

7.12.2011 - Webilea Beer #3

During the last two Webilea events, a Webilea Beer or Webeerlea Event was requested from several people. So here it is. The next Webilea Beer Event will be on wednesday 7.12.2011 somewhere in a bar/pub in Basel. We are fully aware, that once again the FCB decided to play on the exact same date in the champions league. Because of this we decided to crowd source the location for the event. Like this the crowd can decide, if the event will be held in a location with a TV or without.

What do you have to do? Post below your location suggestions and subscribe for the event.

  • Location: Sudhaus Basel
